Sydney Olympic Park Master Plan 2030 (2018 Review) update

We have been working together with Sydney Olympic Park Authority (SOPA) to coordinate planning for the long-term development of Sydney Olympic Park. We are planning for new homes, jobs, community facilities, parks and public open spaces, as well as a new high school.

The Master Plan 2030 (2018 Review) is a blueprint that will guide the future growth and sustainable development of the world-class sporting and event precinct, surrounded by more than 430 hectares of parklands.

In 2016 we gathered your feedback about the draft Master Plan 2030 (2018 Review) and we would like to thank you for making a submission. We received valuable input from the community and government agencies over the consultation period and addressed the issues raised in submissions that related to:

  • traffic and transport
  • affordable housing
  • public open space and community facilities
  • education facilities
  • built form controls
  • sustainability; and
  • economic impacts.

SOPA has undertaken additional investigations into transport and traffic, urban design, community facilities, affordable housing and economic analysis.

The responses to the issues raised in submissions can be found in the response to submissions report. You can view all submissions (60) made on the project here.

Next steps

We will continue to work with Sydney Olympic Park Authority and other key government agencies to guide future development in Sydney Olympic Park.

In accordance with the State Environmental Planning Policy (State Significant Precincts) 2005, the Master Plan 2030 will be reviewed within five years to ensure the planning framework for Sydney Olympic Park remains relevant to the changing urban landscape.
