28 May 2010: Land and Environment Court - Court policies

The Chief Judge, Justice B J Preston, has issued three new Court policies:

• Case Management Policy

The purpose of the policy is to promote the case management of proceedings and in particular provide guidance on the use and conduct of case management conferences.

• Commissioner Mentoring Policy

The purpose of the policy is to describe the Court’s mentoring program for newly appointed Commissioners and Acting Commissioners.

• Site Inspections Policy

The purpose of the is to guide the conduct of site inspections in certain matters in Classes 1 and 2 of the Court’s jurisdiction.

The policies commence on 28 May 2010.
