Sustainable Transport: 'sharing' knowledge
Our complex and interdependent society relies on the movement of people and goods. Even with electronic information exchange, virtual meetings, efficient compact land use policies and other demand management measures, we will continue to need transport. Some modes are more sustainable and energy-efficient than others. Some have less impact and can safely share public space. Despite their limitations, walking and cycling score well on all these counts. Given the credentials of our speakers, these active modes will feature strongly in this seminar. Can such modes contribute to a truly sustainable integrated transport system meeting the needs of the different groups that make up a vibrant interconnected society? Don't miss this opportunity to share in the debate.
