The lectures and field trips are undertaken over a period of two weeks. The unit is taught principally by Chinese academics at Wuhan University, with comparative lectures and commentary provided by the Australian academics. Candidates are given an introduction to Chinese law and the Chinese legal system before embarking on a study of Chinese environmental law. Field trips include visits to the Three Gorges Dam and Zhong Xiang, a World Heritage site including Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
