Members and Friends of EPLA are invited to the fifth Twilight Seminar of 2015, an overview of the NSW Planning Portal:

The NSW Planning Portal will provide a single, centralised access point to all current environmental planning instruments (including LEPs, DCPs, CPs and SEPPs) for an area.  For example it will:

  • allow users to check development controls for properties anywhere, any time; and lodge and track State Significant Development Applications
  • help identify development opportunities in NSW and allow users to see development applications that have been submitted in a Local Government Area
  • provide web mapping services

Key points to note:

  • The relevant legislation from the NSW legislation website will also be automatically included in a panel on the Property Details page.  That means you won't need to leave the NSW Planning Portal to check the legislation that applies to the property.
  • A new 'Property Details' page is set to be the next generation of the current Planning Viewer tool.  Information liking zoning, height of buildings, minimum lot size and heritage will be displayed on the page next to the map.
  • Users will be able to search for a property or area then draw, annotate and measure on the map; and share mark-ups with colleagues.

Presented by:

Peter Holt, Manager ePlanning Policy and Legal

Department of Planning & Environment

Cost: EPLA Members:  $33; Non-members:  $44; Students, Government and Local Councils: Free
