The Blue Mountains City Council has great pleasure in inviting you to participate in the Local Climate Local Change Conference 2010. This Conference will be an encompassing forum for climate change adaptation and mitigation actions, attitudes and information that show Australian Frontline Community Action.  

The Conference is a learning opportunity for all interested climate change practitioners irrespective of their private or public sector, academic or technical affiliations. It is an opportunity to come together to learn about and exchange views on the efforts of local communities in facilitating their community's readiness for climate change.

The Conference will also offer ample opportunity for networking with other delegates with a full social program.  An innovative exhibition will also offer education and information on new technologies which can assist in adapting and mitigating for climate change thereby ensuring our sustainable future.

The Organising Committee is happy to confirm the following keynote speakers for the Conference:

  • John Hunter, Oceanographer, Climate & Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre

  • Daniel O'Doherty, Winner of the 2008 Action Against Climate Change Eureka Schools Prize
  • Richard Neville, Consultant, Future Climate Changes Issues for Communities
